Domestic technical status of reflective materials


The localisation of reflective materials is mainly a technical problem in three aspects: raw materials, equipment and technology. The main raw materials used in reflective materials include resins, pigments, glass beads, etc. The impact of any of these raw materials on the performance of reflective products is crucial. In particular, the adhesive resin must have good construction performance and excellent adhesive ability, if there is no protective layer on the surface of the product, the adhesive resin also requires water resistance and wash resistance, the surface resin requires good transparency, ideal refractive index, excellent weather resistance and stability, and the connection between the various layers of resin must also have good compatibility, so as to meet the optical characteristics of reflective material products, use requirements and manufacturing process requirements. For pigments, high transparency, colour stability and good compatibility with resin are required, while for glass beads, high refractive index, high transparency, low opacity, good roundness, good particle size consistency and dispersibility are required. In recent years, the national research and development of new materials has increased its support, new materials are emerging, as well as the entry of large foreign chemical companies' factories, the raw materials needed for reflective materials have basically been solved. Production equipment is the basis for the industrialisation of reflective materials. The equipment used for different reflective material products varies, and according to the product process, process requirements, and the characteristics of the raw materials used, the corresponding equipment configuration accuracy and operation methods are selected to determine a reasonable equipment structure. At the same time to consider to meet the technical requirements of production to achieve the minimum equipment input. At present, the domestic development of the last ten years, the output capacity of the equipment has been improved, but the design capacity of the equipment are still dependent on the reflective material manufacturers, Paradigm's early research and development of equipment by many manufacturers to follow and imitate, for the reflective material equipment to lay some of the foundation of localization.  The current reflective material special equipment is basically reasonable for each process configuration, mostly using computerized closed-loop information feedback, realizing frequency synchronous operation control, using constant tension control, sub-regional temperature adjustable control, frequency constant air pressure and other technical means, the equipment runs stably, the coating and drying ability is stronger, the quality control is more stable, but the automation degree of the equipment needs to be further improved. The production process is complementary to the raw materials and production equipment, inseparable, in the design of the raw materials, to consider whether to meet the requirements of the production process, and determine the production process, should be as far as possible, without changing the raw materials, to find the most simple and reliable process can be implemented, the production line can be based on different production processes, using a variety of coating methods, so that different types, different performance of the coating can be achieved. The line can be coated in a variety of ways according to the different production processes, making it possible to achieve controlled coating with micron-level precision for different types and properties of coatings, ensuring uniformity of coating over the entire width. And in the equipment through the unique design to solve the bead implantation process, operability, simple and practical, to solve the technical problems of glass micro-glass beads single-layer co-face implantation. The process level of domestic products has basically reached the level of foreign products, and some products are even more simplified than the production process of foreign products.
